Book Earrings

Couple other sets of earrings, these ones sold during the MCBA Book Festival, and are now unavailable.

MCBA Book Arts Festival

Just got notice that I will in fact, be selling this year at the Minnesota Center for Book Arts during their annual festival. I'm excited, and a little worried because I'm going to need to make a lot this upcoming week. Oh well! It's good to do things.

If you're around the Twin Cities, please stop by, there is fantastic stuff every year. Buy local!

Book Earrings

I've been wanting to make these for a while, and now I finally got around to it! These are styled the same way as the charm books, just downsized. They're about 1.5x2cm or a little over a .5x3/4 of an inch. Sterling silver French wire, 16-page accordion, glass bead accent.

This pair is made from several Japanese papers, and is currently the only pair, but I'm looking forward to more. After I ironed out a few issues they were very fun to make.

New Books!

After returning from MIX, I've been able to spend more time making books. The one above was a custom made one. The one below is made from Japanese papers and the handmade paper I picked up in Korea over the summer. It's really bright and is sort of a contrast to some of the other stuff I've done. This particular paper also is really different from the other ones that came with it.

New fish book, slightly different dimensions from the old ones, a bit taller. I procured quite a few sort of matte plastic buttons recently, they give things a brighter feel.

Post MIX

The Minneapolis Indie Xpo, was fantastic! Met some great people, got to see some great people I already knew. Thank you to those of you who stopped by!
